living in the late 60's or early 70's you might just
see a Dart just like this at the local dragstrip
on Saturday night.

CUTS CAR IN HALF TO MAKE A POINT
An outraged British man said he sawed his son's
car in half after local authorities clamped it
for no reason.
Ian Taylor, 40 of Tredworth, England, said he
was so upset to find his son's Ford Fiesta was
impounded, he was prompted to use a power disc
cutter to chop it in half to stand up for his
beliefs, the Sun reported Monday.
Taylor said the car was registered to be parked
off the street, but the clamper nailed him
because two inches of the back end was sticking
out of the driveway.
"I had to make a point. The vehicle was totally
legal where it was. It was a drastic step but I
stand by my decision," Taylor said.
Taylor said he told the clampers they could take
the back end of the car because it was the
section that violated the rules.

whom it may concern,
We organize an annual super car rally
called the Gumball 3000. Our 100 strong car rally will
be starting on
Nob Hill in
San Francisco on the
9th August, however all of our cars
will go on display
on Friday 8th August and be on display
throughout the night. We are closing down
Taylor Street
,
Cushman Street , Sacramento
Street and
Mason Street
at the 2 blocks outside the Fairmont
Hotel, atop Nob Hill.
We
are looking for 40 cars to join us on our car display on
Taylor Street
between
California Street
and
Sacramento Street
. Everything from supercars, to
lowriders, American Muscle cars, custom cars, Hotrods
and classic cars etc would be welcome. We feel it would
be great to incorporate some local cars to make our
display more of a spectacle for the public. All cars
joining the line up on display will do the start the
rally ie. Drive thru the
checkered flag.
Our
events always attract a HUGE crowd and will be a perfect
opportunity to show off your rides. We have a giant
Jumbotron LED screen at the end of the car display, and
the whole car display will be barriered off so the
public cannot get to your vehicles during the event
display. We are creating a real car festival atmosphere
for the display, this show will have a real concours
d’elegance feel to it.

Following traveling thru Lombard Street all ‘display
cars’ can now branch off out of the rally.
What we are offering:
We can offer 2 entries for each car to the party in
Temple on the evening of the
8th August. As you will probably know
Temple is one of the most exclusive venues in SF. There
will be a big name guest DJ, hosted by Maximillion
Cooper (Founder Gumball 3000) and the Cuban Brothers.
This will be an A list party full of models and
celebrities.
‘Behind the ropes VIP access’ at the car display on Nob
Hill 8th and
9th August.
CNN
and MTV will be filming the event at the car display, so
again a great opportunity to show off your car/s to the
masses!
